little bits of things

It's hot and humid here today, and I love it. The rest of the world is looking at me askance, but I don't mind; I'm wearing a cotton sundress and wedge-heeled sandals and enjoying the weight of the air against my skin. And that has nothing to do with anything, except for the fact that strange things make me happy. Like:

• ballroom chairs. I want one of my own, in faded gold with a pale aqua seat.
• bookplates. Maybe if I ever sort my library?
• notecards made from vintage magazines. These are actually prints of vintage magazines; wouldn't making envelopes be a great use for those random old magazines you'll never actually frame?
