the art and craft of entertaining

I picked this book up from the library yesterday, and I'm quite enjoying it. While I can't imagine spending as much time preparing for a party as she does (I get the general impression she's a stay-at-home wife but I could be wrong; she might be one of those superwomen we all envy), she has some lovely ideas, including plenty of recipes and step-by-step instructions for simple, classy favors, invitations, and decorations. She reminds me of a young, citified version of Martha Stewart with much better hair.
The photos in this book are lovely, glowing warm with color and showing stunning details. All in all, it's a good read.
