in need of suggestions!
I love Christmas movies. They're the best things ever--even better than sports movies where the good guys win in the end. But I need suggestions. So far we've watched Elf, Noel and Miracle on 34th Street (old version). I have Holiday Inn and The Bells of Saint Mary's on hold. And we're going to see It's a Wonderful Life, of course. But I read on someone's blog about Christmas in Connecticut being a favorite, and it's one I've never heard of! So speak up people--what are the Christmas movies that I shouldn't miss under any circumstances?

And my uncle actually has the leg lamp.
Also, there's this PBS show that airs every year and is probably available on DVD. I think it's called "Take Joy!" It's all about Tasha Tudor and how she celebrates Christmas, and it's absolutely darling. (She's quite a unique old lady.) I think you'd love it.
It's just plain fun. Nice having you at the meetup last night!
I can't believe I didn't mention "White Christmas" either, especially since we've already watched it. Love. That. Movie. Rosemary Clooney is just so lovely. (Sad fact: the reason the other sister in that movie wears high necks was to cover the premature aging caused by her aneorexia.)
Definitely need to see "A Christmas Story" again! Can you believe last year was the first time I watched it? (Also might need to drive up to Cleveland and see the house where it was filmed...)
I will also look for "Take Joy" and "Home for the Holidays." Both sound lovely! Not sure if I'll rewatch "Home Alone," though. :)
Keep the ideas coming if you have any more! Thanks, all!
